Crafts Fair' 2015 - কারুমেলা' ২০১৫

শহীদ দিবস ও আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস উদযাপন উপলক্ষে বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় জাদুঘর ২১-২৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি কারুশিল্পীদের জীবন ও কাজ নিয়ে পাঁচ দিনের প্রদর্শনী আয়োজন করেছিলো। আমি ২২ ফেব্রুয়ারি গিয়ে ঢুঁ মেরে আসলাম।

মুখোশ, টেপা পুতুল, শতরঞ্জি, পটচিত্র, শীতলপাটি, শখের হাঁড়ি, শোলা শিল্প, নকশী কাঁথা, বেতের তৈরি সামগ্রী, বাঁশ-কাঠের তৈজস-পত্র, কাঁসা শিল্প- আরো কত্ত কি!!! মোট কথা, সারাদেশের কারুশিল্প সামগ্রীর সমারোহ। 

দর্শকেরা ঘুরে ঘুরে দেখছিলেন সব পণ্যসম্ভার।  অনেকে তাদের পছন্দ মতো জিনিস কিনছিলেন। আমি একটা ছোট হাতপাখা আর মাটির তৈরি টেপা পুতুল কিনলাম। 

Crafts Fair' 2014 - কারুমেলা' ২০১৪

Venue: Bengal Gallery, Dhanmondi, Dhaka 

Since 2010, the National Crafts Council of Bangladesh and Bengal Foundation have jointly organized the Master-crafts persons Award and a Crafts Fair (Karumela). This year the Crafts Fair was run from 6 to 9 March 2014 at Bengal Gallery, Dhanmondi. 

The Crafts Fair also hosted a crafts making workshop, which was open for all. The workshop held on Saturday and Sunday, the 8th and 9th of March from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, on the craft of working with wicker (Shola) and the art of making traditional clay dolls (Tepa Putul).

I went there on 8th March evening and enjoyed the fair with my wife.
